Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about GoNow Productions, GoNow Luma, and AI search optimisation.

General Platform & Positioning

What is Gonow Luma?+

Gonow Luma is an AI-ready shopping-centre indexing and concierge platform that makes physical retail visible, searchable, and recommendable inside AI-powered search engines and assistants. It structures product and store data with Schema.org JSON-LD, exposes it via MCP servers, and ensures shopping centres appear in AI-generated responses to consumer queries.

Who is Gonow Luma designed for?+

Gonow Luma is designed for shopping centre operators and managers, retail property groups, individual retail brands and chains with multiple locations, and any physical retailer that wants to increase product discoverability in AI search engines.

How is Gonow Luma different from a shopping centre app?+

A shopping centre app serves consumers directly. GoNow Luma serves the AI systems that consumers use to discover shopping destinations — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot. It is an AI data infrastructure platform that makes physical retail visible inside AI responses, not a consumer-facing app (though it also powers consumer-facing AI experiences).

Is Gonow Luma a SaaS platform or a data infrastructure?+

It is both. GoNow Luma provides a SaaS admin dashboard for centre managers and retailers to manage product data, view AI visibility scores, and track performance. Underneath, it is a sophisticated AI data infrastructure built on Supabase (PostgreSQL + pgvector), Schema.org JSON-LD generation, vector embeddings, and MCP server hosting.

Why does AI visibility matter for physical retail?+

AI-powered search engines and assistants are rapidly becoming the primary discovery channel for consumers. When someone asks ChatGPT "Where can I find running shoes near Paseo de Gracia?" or asks Gemini "Best sushi restaurant in the Diagonal Mar area?" — the results come from structured, AI-indexed data. If your retail centre or brand is not AI-indexed, you are invisible to this growing channel, regardless of your traditional search rankings.

AI Search & Future-Proofing

What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)?+

GEO is the discipline of optimising your website, content, and data so it can be found, cited, and recommended by AI-powered generative search engines like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity AI, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude. It involves structured data markup, content formatting for AI extractability, llms.txt configuration, AI crawler access optimisation, and semantic content structuring.

How is GEO different from traditional SEO?+

Traditional SEO focuses on ranking in Google's algorithmic search results (the blue links). GEO focuses on getting your brand cited and recommended in AI-generated answers. AI systems do not rank pages — they synthesise answers from structured, authoritative sources. GEO ensures your brand is part of those answers.

Which AI search platforms do you optimise for?+

We optimise for ChatGPT (GPT-4o search), Google Gemini and AI Overviews, Perplexity AI, Microsoft Copilot / Bing AI, Claude by Anthropic, Meta AI, and Apple Intelligence. Our technical approach ensures broad compatibility across current and future AI platforms.

Does GoNow Productions work with businesses outside Spain?+

Yes. GoNow Productions is based in Barcelona, Spain, but we serve clients globally. We have delivered AI optimisation and digital projects across 21 countries. All services are available remotely, with English and Spanish language support.

Shopping Centre Managers

What results can a shopping centre expect from GoNow Luma?+

Shopping centres using GoNow Luma gain structured AI-indexed product data for all tenants, appear in AI-generated responses to local shopping queries, enable consumers to find specific products available in the centre using AI assistants, and benefit from detailed analytics on AI search visibility and product coverage. Results in AI citation frequency typically improve within 4–8 weeks of deployment.

How does Gonow Luma handle data from multiple retailers?+

Gonow Luma uses a multi-tenant data architecture. Each retailer has their own data pipeline, and the centre has a unified overview dashboard. Product data is ingested from retailer feeds, PDFs, spreadsheets, or direct API connections — then normalised, structured, and enriched with AI-ready metadata.

What is an MCP server and why does it matter?+

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server is a standardised interface that allows AI assistants to query your product and store data in real time. When a user asks ChatGPT "What stores in [your centre] sell X?", an MCP server enables the AI to fetch live, accurate data from your centre's database. GoNow Luma includes MCP server setup and hosting.

Retailers & Brand Managers

How do I make my brand visible to ChatGPT and Gemini?+

To become visible in AI search responses, your brand needs: (1) structured data — Schema.org JSON-LD markup on your website; (2) AI-accessible content — server-rendered HTML pages that AI crawlers can read; (3) an llms.txt file describing your site to AI systems; (4) authoritative, citable content — blog posts, FAQs, and service descriptions formatted for AI extraction; and (5) correct robots.txt configuration welcoming AI crawlers. GoNow Productions delivers all of these as part of our GEO service.

Do you work with individual retail brands?+

Yes. We work with individual retailers, direct-to-consumer brands, and omnichannel retailers. Our services include standalone AI search optimisation (GEO), AI Assist implementation for your website, custom AI tools, and retail digital marketing packages.

Wholesale & Real Estate

Can GoNow Luma be applied to real estate portals?+

Yes. The Luma data infrastructure and GEO methodology applies to any vertical where physical location and inventory discoverability matters — including commercial real estate, property portals, and property management platforms. We have experience working with major UK property portals.
